Juries have a hard time believing someone is in pain when they don’t visit a doctor for the pain they are asking for compensation for. That’s why it’s vital that if you are hurt you visit a doctor and follow their orders to get you better. Not only will you benefit from the treatment itself but it’ll help tell the story of your pain to the Jury. Because not only will you tell the jury about your pain and suffering the doctors will as well.
One of those important ingredients the doctors rely on when treating you are diagnostic imaging such as X-rays, MRIs and DTIs. Each of those are different ways of taking pictures of the inside of your body and give that ability for your doctors to take a peek and help guide treatment along with physical showings of a damaged spine, such as tingling in your hands. Now you can show the Jury what damage has been done in all medical probability to the incident with this imaging and linking that to how it affects your daily living.
Now to really tell the whole story it’s vital that there are people that knew you before and after the incident to tell the story of changes that they see, if any, in your daily life. I’ll talk about that in another post!
