I’ve heard before that meeting with an attorney can be intimidating and anxiety-inducing for some. I’m here to tell you: it doesn’t have to be. I’m here to help and make this consultation clear, concise, yet approachable.
I will walk you through and ask you for the items I need to evaluate the case. BUT If you want to prepare, here are some pointers:
Please have the police “pink sheet” or “yellow sheet” with the police report number and any other info the officer gave you.
(Assuming this is a car crash) If you don’t have car damage photos of your vehicle, please snap a wide view of the damage and then a close-up photo of the damage. The more photos, the better!
Gather any and all photos or videos of the scene.
Gather any and all photos of injuries sustained.
Any witnesses? See if you can get their names and phone numbers.
Insurance claim information (policy and/or claim numbers).
Did you go to the hospital? A copy of the discharge papers goes a long way!
Again, I’ll walk you through and gather these items, but if you want to prepare, this short list can get you started!
