Google Reviews: Why They Matter for Law Firms

Real stories and real people. In an age where we are constantly being hit with ads, stories, and now, more recently, AI-generated content, I believe now more than ever that real stories by real people are what people are craving.

The place where most potential clients look is Google Reviews. They want to make sure not only “Does this law firm have experience and a good reputation?” but also “How is this law firm or lawyer making an impact, and how can that affect me?” The five-star, thumbs-up Google Review just won’t cut it anymore.

I always ask my clients to leave a Google Review for my firm so that others can see the impact I’ve made for them — and so others can experience the same. The stories that come out of those reviews sometimes even leave me moved and more motivated than ever to do better for all my clients.

I don’t build buildings, I don’t woodwork and build handmade furniture, or develop neighborhoods. I can’t look back and see my work physically. But these Google Reviews are sometimes that “building” I can look back on and admire — the work and impact I’ve made in changing some of my clients’ lives for the better.

That’s something I pull the rope on to keep me doing my best every day.
